Dr. Isabella “Izzy” Hahn, DVM

Dr. Izzy Hahn grew up shadowing her father’s mixed-animal practice in rural Pennsylvania, but she always felt a special bond with working breeds—especially the elegant yet powerful Doberman Pinscher. After earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University, she completed a two-year residency in small-animal internal medicine, followed by a fellowship in canine cardiology at the University of Florida. For the past 12 years, Dr. Hahn has run a boutique referral practice just outside Charlotte, NC, where she treats hundreds of Dobermans annually—ranging from routine wellness exams to complex cardiac surgeries. She lives with her husband, two children, and her own retired show-line Doberman, “Athena.”
